“ Just the best meal we've had in a long time... Pork ramen very good - a bit weak on the pork, but the Hawaiian roll was insanely good and the cheese sticks... OMG OMG OMG. Add a Aji Adente tequila drink, great service, and just fabulous. ”
“ Bar service the best! Friendly, accommodating...best way to spend a Sunday evening with fun music and food. Highly recommend the Vat Bottom Girl and scallops! ”
“ Ruka was amazing! The ambiance was stunning and the interior felt spacious despite being in downtown. I got the Sakura cocktail to drink and it was delicious. I loved the presentation with the foam and pink powder on top. To eat I got the chicken fried rice and I loved that as well! The chicken was cooked to perfection. Overall great experience. ”
“ A spontaneous girls night in the city led us to Downtown. I opened up Google Maps and this immediately caught my attention. We secured a table for two and from the moment we walked in, the vibes were spectacular. A pleasant surprise to see the place packed on a Monday night, but we were seated almost immediately at a large table with cozy seats. I'm a big fan of electric/house music so it was nice listening to that throughout the evening . Tiktok is my modern day Google so I was able to find some delicious looking dishes recommended from foodies and they did not disappoint. With the price point, we were hoping that these three dishes would be enough for us two to share and they definitely were. The plates came out tapas style with each dish coming out a few minutes after the other. We had our whole meal in front of us almost immediately after ordering The Yuzu beef was mouthwatering and cooked to perfection. It came with side of rice, which literally melted in our mouths. The Japanese Fried Chicken was paired with a delicious sauce and it was a mouthwatering experience. We were hesitant about ordering the Sesame Noodles since it came chilled, but it paired perfectly with the other dishes and didn't disappoint. While we did not get any cocktails, the surrounding tables did, and they looked to die for. Will definitely have to grab one on my next visit. Our server, Valentina, was attentive and kind. At the end of the night, a gentleman who I believe was the manager stopped by our table to ask how our service was and I thought that was a nice gesture. Spontaneous night lead us to discovering a delicious spot that we will definitely come back to experience many more times in the future. 10/10 highly recommended! ”
“ Everything about my experience at RUKA was phenomenal! We came in without a reservation on a busy Friday and they were still able to accommodate our party of 3. Our server was incredibly kind and helpful in navigating the menu. One member of our party has an allergy to nuts and shellfish, and the staff was very understanding and accommodating and took extra precautions to ensure her safety. Beyond the service, the food and drinks were incredible. I ordered the Kumo Sakura cocktail and it was the perfect blend of sweet and sour. My friends ordered espresso martinis and enjoyed those as well. To eat we shared 5 plates (they recommend about 2 per person to share). The Sesame Noodles, Yuzu Beef and Japanese Fried Chicken were yummy but nothing mindblowing. The two plates that really stood out to me were the Spicy Salmon Fritas and the Spicy Tot Stickers. Both plates were unique and flavorful. I look forward to coming back! ”
“ This is a great place for date night. They had dim lighting and very aesthetic interior designing. I got the spicy tuna and it was perfect. The tuna melted in your mouth. The chicken fried rice was my favorite. I could not stop eating. The chicken spice flavored great with the vegetables and rice. Would love to come back to try the drinks. The servers were attentive and efficient. Overall great place to visit in the city ”
“ Ambiance: this place is modern & trendy. i loved their interior design! we went when it opened but it was lively by the time we left. Service: our server was super nice & helped us pick things out. it was a little slower of a service but i saw that she had a pretty big section so understandable. Food: this place is amazing!! it's modern & unique but also comforting. we got the spicy tuna roll & buffalo tofu roll. i wasn't expecting much for the buffalo tofu roll but it was delicious! the blue cheese is pretty mild as well. the spicy tuna was fresh and also great. chicken fried rice was also good - the marinade on the chicken was delicious. the steak skewers were also good but personally could avoid it. it's not too different than other steak skewers although i loved the salsa on it. our fav dish was the potato & cheese pot sticker. it's like an asian pierogi lol ”
“ Everything was great from food to drinks, we did not think anything missed the mark. Sushi was very good. Food presentation was well thought out and pretty. Our waitress Erika was very attentive even after it got busy, and knowledgeable about the menu. Lively atmosphere. It is on the pricey side, but was worth it. ”
“ How beautiful is this Peruvian Asian fusion hot spot. The decor blended both cultures in a very ascetically pleasing way. We were there with a two year old with really is not the norm for this restaurant. They put us in a half circular booth which was perfect. The thing I think I liked best about the food is that they have so many choices for a variety of eaters. So fun to decide plus makes you want to come back. The other highlight of the food is that they do not provide dipping sauce. I have never been to a sushi style restaurant that doesn't offer dipping sauce. Let me tell you you don't need it. The crew was very engaging and helpful. Loved it you will too. Can't wait to go back. ”
